Hmmm, faisons des petits fantômes
Let’s get started… First, we need to put on an apron on for not dirtying our clothes. Did you put yours on?
Since Halloween is coming up, I was thinking we might make some ghosts out of strawberries. For this we will need some fresh strawberries, white and dark chocolate and if you want some flowers or edible pearls.
Let’s heat up the chocolates - the white and the dark one. For this we will put each flavour in two different pots, heat them slowly by continuing stirring each flavour. But be careful, don’t burn yourself and only heat them both until they melt. Then we take both chocolate pots downs from the cooking plate, put them on a heat resistant support…but don’t forget to be really really careful. The best would be to melt the chocolates with the help of grown-ups, never do it alone. I am doing it with the help of my grandma. She always wants to help me out. And yes, we both spend wonderful quality time together. It’s awesome to be close to my grandma. It’s so much fun with her and she always let me finish the chocolate…if there are any leftovers.
So the next part is to stick the strawberries on a barbecue stick and dip them into the white chocolate and put them on a parchment paper to cool down. While cooling down, I continue with the remaining strawberries until all of them are covered in white chocolate. Once I am through, I start using the barbecue sticks as pens and dip them into the dark chocolate in order to draw a face on the already dried up white chocolate strawberries. Now my ghosty strawberries are getting some scary faces…haha, my friends from trick for treating will get scared and won’t eat them…this might be a great alternative for candy: instead of only getting candy, we can get strawberry ghosts for trick or treating. I think grandma will give out some more of these healthy sweets to my friends.
Let’s see what else we can bake for Halloween!
